Shifting his focus, he embarked on a mission to help businesses get off the ground and bring their innovative ideas to the public. His strategic planning and execution skills became the cornerstone of his work, attracting major clients such as Canon, Cartoon Network, and FedEx. Yet, Kennedy's impact wasn't limited to corporate giants; he also dedicated himself to supporting local community organizations, understanding that true progress starts at the grassroots level.​

As your Treasurer, Kennedy is ready to leverage his extensive experience to benefit Newport News by fostering opportunities for new businesses and enhancing community services. For far too long, our city has lagged behind in keeping pace with advancements in technology. While rapid change can feel daunting, we must embrace new tools to better connect with our city’s residents. Too many people remain unaware of the resources the city offers to improve their lives, and far too many are uninformed about the city’s finances and plans for growth. It’s time to bridge that gap by utilizing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube—tools that are already a central part of our daily lives—to engage, inform, and empower our community.

Kennedy’s work with Canon’s Consumer Imaging Group is a testament to his innovative approach. Tasked with creating interactive sales training tools, Kennedy developed over 120 training games that engaged independent sales reps from top retailers worldwide. For over 12 years, these innovative games made sales training fun and engaging, revolutionizing Canon's approach and ensuring sales reps were well-versed in the fine points of Canon equipment.

Kennedy’s collaboration with Cartoon Network to create signature games for their most popular shows showcased his ability to blend creativity with technical skill. The Batman game he developed remained the network's most popular game for two years, significantly boosting advertising revenues and maintaining Cartoon Network's competitive edge in web development.

Kennedy collaborated with Random House Publishing to introduce innovative digital strategies aimed at engaging a younger audience. Through animations, games, music, and web content, he created interactive experiences to promote books effectively. This initiative included developing a mini-site used to enhance sales and marketing efforts both online and offline. Kennedy's utilization of new technologies significantly contributed to increasing book sales, marking a pioneering effort for the publishing industry at that time.
